Scientific Reportsは、ネイチャー・リサーチ社によって刊行されているオンラインでオープンアクセスの学術雑誌である。自然科学のすべての分野を網羅しており、論文の重要性やインパクトではなく、科学的正当性のみを評価することを目的としている。

投稿のその前に：ユーザー登録について
メインページの中段にあるJournal toolsよりSubmit Manuscriptを選択する
a regular submissionを選択する。
ユーザーログインになるので、初回登録の場合はRegister nowから登録を行います。
ユーザー登録には氏名、E-mail、Passwordが必要になります。登録したE-mailに確認のメールが届くので承認してください。これで初期設定は完了です。
投稿
メールにあるURLをクリックすると投稿する論文の種類の選択になります。今回は原著論文の投稿方法で行います。登録項目はDetails, Files, Authors, Subjects, Declarations Reviewになります。
Details
原著論文を選択するとTitle、Abstract、Caver letterの登録画面になります。wordで作成した文章をそれぞれにコピー＆ペーストを行います。
Caver letteはこの投稿論文を編集者にアピールするために重要な書類になります。本文と同等の集中力で書くことをおすすめします。Caver letteの書き方のリンクになります。参考にしてください。
Files
原稿は、著者へのガイドのガイダンスに従って準備する必要があります。
査読の目的で、参照される箇所の本文に図と表を配置した1つの文書を提供してください。
LaTeX原稿は.pdfとして提出してください。 後日、.texファイルを提供するよう求められます。
原稿のテンプレートも用意されています。参考にしてください。
原稿の文字、ページ制限
- メインテキスト（要約、方法、リファレンス、図の凡例は含まない）は4,500 words以内にする必要があります。
- メソッドセクションを1,500 wordsに制限することを勧めています。
- 記事タイトルの最大20ワード。
- 記事の長さは、11ページ以下にするのが理想的です。
- アブストラクト: 200 words
- 図及び表：８個以下（合計）;図の凡例（これらは図あたり350 wordsに制限されます。
